90 Gallon Saltwater Reef Tank

A 90 Gallon glass Oceanic Bow Front not reef plumbed with overflows (originally this tank was used for Freshwater and we converted it over to Saltwater).  We use a Catalina Titanium 300 watt heater for heating the tank but it isn’t on much because of the heat the lights create.  Our lighting consists of a Current USA  Outer Orbit 36″ 2 x 250 watt 10k HQI Metal Halides and 2 x 39 watt acintic 460nm T5’s, 2 x 39 watt acintic 420nm T5’s, 9 Blue Lunar Lights and 9 White Lunar Lights (lunar lights are LEDs for night-time illumination) and is on timers.  We are running a HOB C&C Marine Skimmer with a sicce psk2500 needle wheel.  We do not have a sump but are currently running a Fluval FX5 canister filter with 12 pounds of live rock.  We also have a CPR HOB Refugium (3.6 gallons) with a 24 watt daylight Compact Fluorescent and have live sand, live rock and Cheato.  For flow in tank we are running 2 Hydor Koralia Mag 7’s and have them on wavemaker on the Aqua Controller.  We also have a RO/DI water filtration system from Air Water and Ice (Typhoon Extreme) with a 32 gallon water holding tank.  TDS is monitored with a built in TDS meter before and after membrane and holding tank is monitored by handheld TDS meter.  We have also just recently gotten a Neptune Systems Aqua Controller 3 with full version of the Aqua Notes software.

The lighting Photoperiod goes as follows
Blue and White Moon Lights are on Moon Cycle
The Moon Cycle changes daily depending on the day.  The cycle moves forward every day by 50 minutes so there are times that the moon lights are on during the day.
8:30 am T5’s on
9:30 am Metal Halide’s on
8:30 pm Metal Halide’s off
9:30 pm T5’s off
37 Gallon Saltwater Fish Only
37 Gallon Tank with a Fluval 405 for filtration and also a Reef Octopus BH-800S ProtienSkimmer.  Running a Catalina Titanium 100 watt heater and a Rio Seio 530 powerhead for added current.  The lighting consists of a Nova Extreme T5 36 watt light.  The Photoperiod for this tank is lights on at 8am to 8pm.  This tank is going to eventually be hooked up to the Aqua Controller and we will probably get it a moon light also.
10 Gallon Feshwater Tank
The 10 gallon has a Tetra Whisper Filter, heater and standard hood with light.  Pretty simple setup and the photoperiod on this tank is lights on at 8am and off at 8pm.
